What is a student council?
The Student Council consists of 17 elected representativesduring the spring semester every year in student council elections among all students at the University of Iceland.
The representatives are determined according to the number of students in the academic fields.
3 representatives from each academic field except Social Sciences which has 5 representatives.
What is the Student Council?
The Student Council consists of 17 representatives who are elected in the spring semester each year among all students at the University of Iceland.
The representatives are determined in accordance with the number of students in each School of study. 3 representatives from each School, except for 5 representatives in the School of Social Sciences

University Council
The University Council is the highest governing body of the university and is appointed according to the Act on Public Universities. The University Council sets the direction of the university and has decision-making authority in the affairs of the school. The University Council meets monthly and makes strategic decisions. The administration and finances of the school are the responsibility of the University Council.
Students have two representatives in the University Council who are elected for two years at a time.
This year, the university council is being elected, so we have cool and presentable candidates.

The University Council
The University Council is the supreme authority of the University and is composed according to the law about public universities. The council defines the direction of the University and has judicial review of matters regarding the University. The management and finances of the University are the responsibility of the University Council.Students have two representatives in the University Council, elected for two years at a time.
This year there will be new candidates elected to The University Council and we have great and presentable candidates
